Abstract:
This workshop aims to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the key aspects of safety in chemistry laboratories, with a focus on preventing chemical hazards and reducing laboratory accidents. Topics to be addressed include the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), the safe storage and handling of reagents, and the correct interpretation of chemical product labelling. Essential good laboratory practices for experimental work will also be explored. The training is based on a practical approach, centred on the effective application of safety standards in teaching and research laboratories.
