Non-Pedagogical Tutoring
Non-pedagogical tutoring is designed to support students in their personal, social, and practical integration into higher education.
They are led by faculty members (Non-Pedagogical Tutors) who guide small groups of first-year students, with whom they hold at least two meetings throughout the semester. These informal support sessions allow students to share concerns, expectations, or difficulties related to their adaptation to academic life, time management, personal organization, or even the social and cultural context of the city.
The goal is to provide a space for listening and guidance, promoting well-being, confidence, and a sense of belonging to the academic community. The tutor acts as a point of reference, helping each student navigate their academic journey with greater serenity, information, and confidence.
This aspect of the program emphasizes building positive human relationships and strengthening the bond between students and faculty, as an essential tool for the academic, personal, and social success of IPB students.
