Mentoring

MENTORING

The Mentoring Program is aimed at all IPB students

The Mentoring Academy’s program is designed to provide personalized support to each new IPB student who wishes to participate. Each student is assigned an individual mentor, who serves as a point of contact, guidance, and support during the adjustment period to academic and social life at the institution. At the same time, all new students are invited to take part in the various activities organized by the Mentoring Academy, which include both one-off events, such as integration weeks, and regular activities, such as the Chess Club, Book Academy, Board Games Club, hiking, volunteering activities, among many others. This model ensures that each student can integrate actively, develop social and academic skills, and establish a solid and diverse network of contacts within the academic community.

Mentor Roles

The Mentor is available to provide information and answer questions about the School, the course, and the various services of the Polytechnic Institute of Bragança (including Social Services). They can also facilitate integration into the city and the local social and cultural context.
Furthermore, the Mentor can advise the younger student on their academic journey, particularly by highlighting any difficulties in certain curricular units and suggesting academic support, as part of the second part of this program.
